CVS/pharmacy has entered a new state and market by opening a drug store in the Seattle suburb of Renton, Wash.
"We are pleased to open our first store in Washington state and bring CVS/pharmacy’s best-in-class, patient-centered medication management programs, wellness services, and preventive and chronic disease management, and high-quality health, beauty and personal care offerings to the Seattle market," CVS/pharmacy president Helena Foulkes said in a statement.
CVS/pharmacy plans to open two more Seattle-area stores during 2014 and will open its first outlet in the city of Seattle next summer. The Renton opening gives CVS/pharmacy a presence in all of the top 20 drug store markets in the United States.
CVS Caremark Corp.’s Pharmacy Services segment operates a CarePlus specialty pharmacy in Seattle and two Coram ambulatory specialty infusion sites in Seattle and Spokane Valley.
