ROCHESTER, N.Y. – This summer, Wegmans is helping customers enjoy the season with reduced prices on essential summer items. Customers can expect to spend less on summer celebrations, from meat to sides, and salads to desserts.
“We aim to help our customers easily prepare healthy, affordable meals year-round,” said Tom Way, Wegmans senior VP of pricing, analytics, and insights. “With our hot zone program, we’re offering customers great values on everyday items throughout the year, and as we head into the summer season, we’ve lowered prices on those must-have summer cookout items.”
Wegmans surveyed customers about their most popular dishes during summer celebrations last year and discovered that chicken was a favorite for graduation parties, while burgers took center stage for the 4th of July and steak was the star choice on Father’s Day.
