ROCHESTER, N.Y.—Wegmans Food Markets has launched a newly redesigned website and mobile app, introducing a range of features aimed at creating a more personalized and seamless digital shopping experience. The enhanced platform integrates AI-powered tools, streamlined list-building, and curated meal-planning options to help shoppers save time, money, and effort.
“Whether shopping with us online or in store, we know customers are looking for digital tools that can help make their shopping and meal planning experience faster, easier, and more inspiring,” said Erica Tickle, Wegmans' vice president of marketing and digital growth. “That’s what we’re delivering with our new app and site. We’ve made enhancements to the features our customers love, added new functionality, and are harnessing the power of AI to create a single customer experience that blends the best of both in-store and online shopping.”
Smarter Shopping with AI-Powered Tools
The redesigned Wegmans.com and mobile app offer a host of upgrades focused on convenience and personalization:
- Improved AI-Powered Search: Smarter search capabilities now prioritize frequently purchased items and offer tailored product recommendations.
- List-Building Enhancements: The updated list view includes ‘Get It’ and ‘Got It’ tabs to track progress, while features like custom item entry, filtering, and list sharing streamline preparation.
- In-Store Navigation: Lists are now organized based on a store’s layout, and the app auto-switches to the user's current store to reflect accurate aisle locations.
Savings and Meal Planning Made Simple
Shoppers can now access more value and culinary inspiration directly from the app:
- Digital Coupons: Users can access over $500 in annual savings from Wegmans and partner brands on everyday items.
- Recipe Integration: Customers can import recipes from any source, scale ingredients, save personal modifications, and use the new cook mode with step-by-step instructions and built-in timers.
“Following the pandemic, we saw e-commerce and digital engagement level out, but in the last couple of years, that growth has returned,” said Tickle. “We’ve seen it most with our app through an increase in downloads and growth in our curbside pickup business, so it’s more important than ever for us to provide our customers with the best digital tools for a fast, easy, and inspiring shopping experience.”
The new Wegmans digital experience is available now. Customers can visit www.wegmans.com or download the app to explore the upgraded features.
