SUNBURY, Pa.— Weis Markets completed a remodel of its Danville, Pa., store last week, unveiling a refreshed shopping experience that includes expanded fresh food offerings, upgraded amenities and a new Starbucks café.
The renovated store features a modernized interior and exterior, along with enhancements across several departments designed to improve convenience and product selection. Shoppers will find an expanded, market-style produce department with a broader assortment of fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as full-service seafood and meat departments.
The remodel also transformed the store's deli and foodservice area, adding pizza and sushi offerings, specialty cheeses and a wider variety of grab-and-go meals. The bakery department has been updated with an expanded assortment of baked goods, while the floral department received enhancements as part of the project.
A new Starbucks café now offers a range of hot and cold beverages, with mobile app ordering available. The store also features energy-efficient refrigerated and frozen cases that use low-impact refrigerants.
"We're excited to welcome customers to our newly remodeled Danville store," said Bob Gleeson, Weis Markets chief operating officer. "As a result of the remodel, our store offers increased convenience, expanded selection and a new Starbucks kiosk. To mark the store's reopening, Weis Markets presented donations to the Danville SPCA, Danville Food Bank and VFW Post 298, underscoring its commitment to supporting local community organizations.
