SUNBURY, Pa. — Weis Markets Inc. has hired David Gose as the food retailer’s senior vice president of operations.
Weis Markets Inc. has hired David Gose as the food retailer’s senior vice president of operations.
Gose will oversee day-to-day operations and management of the company’s 166 supermarkets in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, New York and West Virginia.
Gose will report to Kurt Schertie, the company’s chief operating officer.
Gose brings 24 years of retailing experience to his new job. Most recently, he was senior director and regional manager at Walmart in Ohio, where he oversaw 92 stores with more than 30,000 full- and part-time employees.
Earlier, Gose worked as a district manager in Walmart’s Midwest and Northeast/Mid-Atlantic divisions.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Ohio University.
