SUNBURY, Pa. — Weis Markets has promoted three executives to director-level roles across its private brands, fresh merchandising and information technology operations.
Tom Domaracki has been promoted to director of private brands, overseeing new product development and the day-to-day management of Weis Markets’ 6,500-item private brand portfolio, including Weis Quality, Weis By Nature and Weis Organics.
Domaracki most recently served as senior manager of the dairy category, a position he held since 2014. He holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Penn State University and completed Cornell University's Food Executive Program. He reports to Maria Rizzo, vice president of advertising and marketing.
Rob Dacko has been promoted to director of deli and prepared foods. He joined Weis Markets in 2015 and has held several food service and deli merchandising positions, most recently serving as category manager for deli and prepared foods.
Earlier in his career, Dacko worked as a chef in Harrisburg, State College and Philadelphia, including helping open Butcher and Singer, a steakhouse operated by Starr Restaurants. He earned a culinary arts degree from the Culinary Institute of America and reports to Doug Becker, vice president of fresh merchandising.
John Cooper has been promoted to director of strategic initiatives. In the role, he will lead efforts to advance enterprise transformation through the use of artificial intelligence, data and digital technologies while continuing to oversee the retailer’s vendor management team.
Cooper most recently served as senior manager of vendor relations, a position he held since 2019. He reports to Greg Zeh, senior vice president and chief information officer.
Weis Markets operates 202 stores across Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, West Virginia and Virginia.
