As president and chief executive officer of GoodRx, Wendy Barnes is focused on ensuring GoodRx continues to pave the way for greater prescription access and affordability, with practical, scalable solutions that meet consumers where they are. This includes collaborating closely with health care industry partners — retail pharmacies, pharmaceutical manufacturers, payers, pharmacy benefit managers, health care providers, and other key stakeholders — to address the broader issues of medication pricing and rising health care costs.
“By expanding affordability programs, forging innovative partnerships, and removing barriers to care, GoodRx is setting the standard for how health care platforms can drive real-world impact at scale,” says Barnes.
Barnes has served as president and CEO of GoodRx since January 2025. Previously, she was CEO of RxBenefits, where she led the company in providing pharmacy benefit support to more than 2,000 self-insured clients. Before that, as president of Express Scripts Pharmacy, she oversaw the operation and financial success of the organization’s pharmacies on behalf of 100 million members.
Barnes served for 10 years as a Medical Service Corps officer in the U.S. Air Force, is a distinguished graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, and holds an MBA from the University of Alaska, Anchorage.
