Whole Foods to debut July 22 in Salem, N.H.

The Salem location’s product assortment features more than 800 local items from New England

SALEM, N.H. – Whole Foods Market will open a 34,900-square-foot store at 22R Via Toscana in Salem, N.H., on July 22, 2026. Doors will open at 8 a.m. on opening day, with regular hours set for 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. The location will be the first Whole Foods Market in Salem and the fifth in New Hampshire.

The Salem location’s product assortment features more than 800 local items from New England, sourced with the help of John Lawson, Forager for Local & Emerging Brands at Whole Foods Market. The store’s design features references to Salem’s historical architecture, scenic landscapes, and community-centric spaces. Nature-inspired themes evoke the charm and warmth of the area.

Opening morning, customers will enjoy coffee from Jim’s Organic Coffee opens in a new taband pastries. The first 300 customers in line will receive a limited-edition Salem tote bag and a Secret Saver coupon featuring savings up to $100 off.

To celebrate the opening, Whole Foods Market will provide a food donation to Merrimack Valley Food Bankopens in a new tab, which makes regular surplus food pickups from local Whole Foods Market stores to help prevent food waste and serve the surrounding community. The organization previously received a refrigerated van through Whole Foods Market’s Nourishing Our Neighborhoods program, which aims to enhance the ability of local food rescue organizations to transport surplus food to areas facing the greatest need. Whole Foods Market will also provide monetary donations to We Care Charityopens in a new tabBread of Life Food Pantryopens in a new tab, and Sonshine Soup Kitchenopens in a new tab.

All food at Whole Foods Market must meet the company’s rigorous quality standardsopens in a new tab, which prohibit hydrogenated fats, high-fructose corn syrup, and more than 300 flavors, colors, sweeteners, and other ingredients commonly found in food.In addition, all beauty and body care products must meet the company’s body care standards, which ban more than 240 commonly used ingredients, including phthalates, parabens, and microbeads.
