FORT WORTH, Texas — Yesway has appointed veteran retail merchandising executive Chuck Sanders as vice president of merchandising, a move aimed at strengthening category performance, sharpening brand presentation, and driving profitability across its 447-store network.
Sanders will report to chief marketing and merchandising officer Ray Harrison and oversee the company’s merchandising organization, with responsibilities including category management, assortment strategy, vendor partnerships, pricing, planograms, and P&L performance. He will also collaborate closely with marketing, loyalty, operations, fuel, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure alignment across the business.
“We are incredibly pleased to welcome Chuck to Yesway,” Harrison said. “His depth of experience, his results-driven mindset, and his ability to build strong partnerships will be invaluable as we elevate our merchandising capabilities and continue delivering outstanding value to our customers.”
Sanders brings over 20 years of leadership experience from 7-Eleven, CAL’S Convenience, and Brookshire Grocery Co., where he managed more than $2 billion in annual category sales, achieved consistent revenue and margin improvements, and led major pricing, promotional, and planogram initiatives across large store networks. Known for his analytical approach and strong vendor relationships, Sanders has built and mentored high-performing teams throughout his career.
“I am thrilled to be joining Yesway,” Sanders said. “This is an innovative, fast-growing organization with a clear vision and a strong commitment to serving its customers and communities. I look forward to helping drive the next phase of growth.”
Yesway, which operates stores across nine states under the Yesway and Allsup’s banners, continues to grow its presence and improve customer experience through foodservice innovation, private-label development, and strategic acquisitions.
