Bed Bath & Beyond parent introduces savings program for homebuyers

Journey Home, launched in collaboration with Alliant Credit Union, aims to help consumers save for and buy a home.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Neighborhood Intelligence, parent of the Bed Bath & Beyond brand, is collaborating with Alliant Credit Union to help consumers prepare financially, purchase a home, and manage the transition into homeownership.

Alliant will offer the program, named Journey Home, across Neighborhood Intelligence's home ecosystem as well as through current and future partnerships established by Alliant, the companies said in introducing the program.

For consumers preparing to buy, Journey Home Savings provides a structured way to build funds for a down payment while working toward an additional homeownership reward, the companies said. For consumers ready to buy, Journey Home connects home search, real estate professionals, Alliant financing, closing support, moving resources, home-related services, rewards, and savings.

"Journey Home Savings is designed to reward the work that happens before a home purchase," said Mike Dobbins, president and CEO of Alliant Credit Union. "Members can earn a high savings rate, establish the discipline of contributing consistently, and qualify for an additional reward when they finance their home through Alliant. The program turns preparation into tangible financial value."

Together, the savings and ready-to-buy experiences are designed to create a continuous path from aspiration to ownership. A consumer can begin by learning about the process and building a down payment, then use Journey Home to search, finance, close, move, and access services and savings after receiving the keys.

"Buying my first home was a dream come true, and every American should have the opportunity to experience that moment,” said Marcus Lemonis, executive chairman and CEO of Neighborhood Intelligence. "Homeownership is one of the foundations of the American Dream, and reaching it requires education, discipline and saving. Our companies want to democratize the entire journey — from preparing to buy through the first night at home and every life event that follows. Understanding the process, doing the work and staying committed represent the kind of meritocracy we want to reward."

Partners planing to launch Beyond Credit Union in early 2027

The Journey Home launch follows the companies' September 15 announcement of a long-term strategic partnership to develop Beyond Credit Union, powered by Alliant. The credit union is expected to launch in early 2027, with additional programs and initiatives to be introduced before then.

Journey Home will be featured within the Beyond Credit Union ecosystem while also intended for broader distribution by Alliant.

Earlier this month, Neighborhood Intelligence announced it would no longer be acquiring F9 Brands, a proposed deal that would have added Cabinets To Go and Lumber Liquidators, among other home-focused companies, to the Neighborhood Intelligence portfolio.

The deal was called off after Neighborhood Intelligence determined “F9 was unable to satisfy all closing requirements within the contemplated timeframe,” the company said in a press release.
