CHPA names new chair-elect and board members

CHPA announced new leadership appointments to its Board and Executive Committee, while the Health In Hand Foundation elected Emily Smith of Nestlé Health Science U.S. to its board.

WASHINGTON — The Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA) has elected a new chair-elect, added three members to its Board of Directors and named three members to its Executive Committee following its June board meeting in Washington.

Phil McWaters, senior vice president, North America Personal Health Care, at The Procter & Gamble Company, was elected chair-elect and is set to become CHPA board chair in March 2027, when current chair Greg Bradley completes his term. McWaters joined the CHPA Board of Directors and Executive Committee in 2023 and currently chairs the OTCs Health Systems Council.

New members of the CHPA Board of Directors are Daniel Jhung, president, North America, at Nestlé Health Science; Trevor Thrun, president, Consumer Health, U.S., at Bayer; and Chris Tedesco, CEO of Designs for Health.

CHPA also approved Daniel Jhung, Trevor Thrun, and Jamie Barickman, president and CEO of Infirst Healthcare, as new members of its Executive Committee.

The association’s educational nonprofit, the Health In Hand Foundation, also announced the election of Emily Smith, communications and corporate affairs lead at Nestlé Health Science U.S., to its Board of Directors.
