New York — At this year’s Met Gala, themed “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” stars Suki Waterhouse and Olympian Gabby Thomas made bold beauty statements with elegant, customized KISS Nails manicures that perfectly complemented their fashion-forward ensembles.

Both looks were achieved using affordable, at-home-friendly KISS products at kissusa.com, ULTA, Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, and Target.

Gabby Thomas lit up the red carpet in a sparkling, structured Ahluwalia ensemble, highlighted by a glamorous elevated French manicure from KISS Nails.

“Leaning into the extravagance, beauty and sophistication of the night, Gabby opted for a classic nail look, with a little extra zhuzh. The KISS Nails were perfect with their chic crystals and glitter yet still neutral. It complemented her look perfectly - understated but elegant,” said Celebrity Manicurist, Maki Sakamoto.

How to Get Gabby’s Look:

  • Start with clean dry nails! Find the right size for each nail from the KISS Classy Premium Nails in “Stunning!” set and lay them out. Gently push back cuticles with the cuticle pusher included within the nail set, then use the buffer included within the nail set and gently buff the surface of each nail to remove any shine. Clean the surface of each nail prior to application.
  • Place a drop of the nail glue on the middle of the nail bed, and a very thin even coat on the KISS Nail. You can also use KISS Powerflex Precision Nail Glue ($3.99 at kissusa.com, ULTA, Walgreens, Walmart, & CVS) as another nail glue option.
  • Line up the edge of the KISS Nail to the edge of the cuticle and press down toward the free edge of the nail (tip of your finger). Hold it securely in place and let the glue set.
  • KISS Nails are easily customizable - Use nail clippers to cut the nail into a V shape (make it a little longer than you would like the nail to be) and use the file to gently shape the nail into an almond shape. You can purchase KISS Professional Manicure Kit ($11.99 at kissusa.com, Target, Walmart, & CVS) for all your DIY essentials! I recommend cutting and shaping one finger so you can use that as a guide for the rest of your nails
  • Once you have shaped all of your nails, use the buffer again to smooth the edges and underside of each nail to ensure the new shape is smooth.

Suki Waterhouse turned heads in an all-black Michael Kors gown, accentuated by a minimalist, tailored KISS Glue-On Manicure created by celebrity manicurist Casey Herman. Waterhouse wore the KISS Bare but Better nails in “Nude Drama” ($8.99), shaped into a sleek almond silhouette. The glossy, nude finish echoed the evening’s dandy-inspired theme, offering a clean, polished look that paired effortlessly with her packed schedule of Met Gala events.

“Always chic and extremely busy, Suki wanted perfectly natural looking nails to complement her all black Michael Kors look for the Met Gala, but also offering the ability to match her numerous appearances with her hectic NY schedule. She also needed the flexibility to remove her nails herself without damaging her natural nails – making KISS Nails the perfect choice,” said Herman.
