Giant Eagle names Ibotta exclusive digital promotions partner

Giant Eagle will join the Ibotta Performance Network, expanding digital offers and savings across its 200+ supermarkets and platforms.

PITTSBURGH — Giant Eagle has selected Ibotta as its exclusive digital promotions partner as the regional grocer looks to strengthen value offerings under its “Because It Matters” strategy.

Through the partnership, Giant Eagle will join the Ibotta Performance Network, giving shoppers across the retailer’s more than 200 supermarkets and digital platforms access to a broader selection of digital offers and savings opportunities. The network is designed to improve the relevance and volume of promotions available to consumers while providing CPG brands with verified, performance-based marketing opportunities.

This transition to the Ibotta Performance Network ensures our customers have access to the industry’s most robust and relevant offer gallery, strengthening the overall value our customers can realize by shopping at Giant Eagle.”

Ibotta said its Performance Network gives retailers access to significantly more national CPG offers than competing platforms while enabling brands to pay only when promotions result in verified sales. Giant Eagle joins a network of partners that includes Walmart, Instacart, DoorDash and Uber.

The companies said expanded digital offer sets will begin rolling out across Giant Eagle’s digital platforms in the coming months.
