CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. — Good Neighbor Pharmacy (GNP), a national franchise for independent pharmacies offered through Cencora, has been ranked “#1 in Customer Satisfaction with Chain Drug Store Pharmacies” in the J.D. Power 2024 U.S. Pharmacy Study, the company said.

This is the 13th time Good Neighbor Pharmacy has earned this recognition in the last 15 years, and it marks the network’s eighth consecutive win.

“I’d like to extend my sincere congratulations to our Good Neighbor Pharmacy members on receiving this prestigious recognition from J.D. Power for the eighth consecutive year,” said Jenni Zilka, SVP, Community & Specialty Pharmacy and President of Good Neighbor Pharmacy. “This feat reflects our member pharmacies’ unwavering dedication to putting their patients first and delivering exceptional care every day. It is a privilege to stand alongside them as they demonstrate the power of pharmacies as accessible destinations for high-touch, high-quality care, and an honor to say that no one does it better than the Good Neighbor Pharmacy network.”

The J.D. Power 2024 U.S. Pharmacy Study implements a modular approach in which respondents complete a core set of questions addressing seven dimensions that represent distinct parts of the customer experience. In addition to receiving #1 in Chain Drug Store Pharmacy Customer Satisfaction overall, Good Neighbor Pharmacy ranked #1 across all seven core dimensions, specifically:

  • Pharmacy offerings meet my needs
  • Resolving problems or complaints
  • Able to get prescriptions how/when I want
  • Digital channels – website, mobile app, text
  • People
  • Helping to save me time or money
  • My level of trust with pharmacy

“This recognition truly belongs to our Good Neighbor Pharmacy members, as the results of J.D. Power’s study are a testament to their commitment to serving their communities,” said Tim Cernohous, SVP & President, Community, Retail and Long-Term Care Pharmacy at Cencora. “As patients seek out pharmacies for care services beyond dispensing medications, pharmacists are navigating the opportunities and challenges that come with those expectations. Our Good Neighbor Pharmacy members have a deep reach into, and close relationships with, their communities. This, combined with their clinical background, has allowed them to organically step into an expanded role to meet the growing needs of their patients. We are honored to work side by side with our Good Neighbor Pharmacy members, ensuring that they have the resources needed to continue serving their communities while paving the path of independent pharmacy forward.”

The J.D. Power U.S. Pharmacy Study, now in its 15th year, is a syndicated benchmarking study profiling the experiences of customers from the largest pharmacies in the United States. The 2024 study is based on responses from 13,505 U.S. pharmacy customers who filled a prescription in the last 12 months prior to the survey period of September 2023 to May 2024.
