H‑E‑B announces major remodel and expansion of 83 & Lincoln Store in Harlingen

SAN ANTONIO — H‑E‑B has begun a comprehensive remodel and expansion of its 83 & Lincoln store in Harlingen, featuring major upgrades that will modernize, refresh, and expand services for shoppers. This large-scale project reflects a significant investment in the community and reaffirms H‑E‑B’s longstanding dedication to the Rio Grande Valley.

Located at 613 S. Expressway 83, the store has proudly served Harlingen customers since 1990. As part of this remodel, every department will be expanded, increasing the total size to nearly 112,000 square feet once finished. Renovations are already in progress and should be complete by early 2027.

Major upgrades will include:

• Expanded departments across the store
• A larger and more diverse product assortment
• A refreshed and modernized exterior
• An expanded H‑E‑B Curbside area with additional dedicated parking
• The addition of Flaming Bird Restaurant, offering customers fresh, bold, and convenient hot‑food options
• H‑E‑B Wellness Primary Care, providing accessible, high‑quality health and wellness services in‑store
