H-E-B buys land to develop a master-planned supply chain campus in North Texas

The project is part of a multi-phase plan to develop more than 600 acres in Cooke County

SAN ANTONIO — To support its continued growth, H‑E‑B has completed the purchase of land in North Texas, where it plans to develop new supply chain facilities in multiple phases. The company acquired more than 600 acres in Valley View, a Cooke County community located about 60 miles north of Fort Worth, positioned near Interstate 35 and E. Lone Oak Road.

The project remains in early planning, and no construction timeline has been established. Additional information will be shared as development progresses. Terms of the land acquisition were not disclosed.

Once operational, the new facilities will enhance and expand H‑E‑B’s existing supply chain network, strengthening the retailer’s ability to serve customers and communities across North and West Texas.

“Buying this property marks the first step in developing a master-planned campus that will strengthen our ability to serve more Texans,” said Carson Landsgard, Chief Supply Chain Officer for H-E-B. “This project reinforces our commitment to communities across the state and will generate more local job opportunities in the years ahead.”

Additionally, H-E-B recently purchased 122 acres next to its current distribution campus in Temple to support future growth at the site. There are no immediate plans for construction there, and details will be shared as plans develop. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The largest privately held employer in Texas, H-E-B continues to grow its business across all areas of the company, maintaining its push as an economic driver for Texas.
