H-E-B expands DFW footprint with Prosper store

The Prosper store joins eight other H-E-B locations and two Joe V’s Smart Shop stores that the retailer has opened in the DFW area since 2022.

The 133,000-square-foot store includes a two-story True Texas BBQ.

PROSPER, Texas — H-E-B has opened its latest North Texas supermarket, a 133,000-square-foot store in Prosper that brings the grocer’s well-known mix of fresh food, services and community commitment to Collin and Denton counties.

The Prosper store joins eight other H-E-B locations and two Joe V’s Smart Shop stores that the retailer has opened in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex since 2022. Additional stores are planned for Rockwall, Irving, Murphy, Mid-Cities, Forney, and Denton, along with a potential site in Dallas at the intersection of Hillcrest Road and LBJ Freeway.

Located at 2145 W. Frontier Parkway, at the Dallas North Tollway and Frontier Parkway, the new store operates daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. It features a wide range of departments and services, including a two-story True Texas BBQ restaurant with a drive-thru, full-service pharmacy, H-E-B Curbside and Home Delivery, and a fuel station with car wash.

Store Features

The Prosper store offers an array of specialty departments and services:

  • Bakery with artisan breads, cakes, and tortillas made daily
  • Deli and charcuterie island, plus an expansive cheese selection
  • Sushiya and Asian grill with fresh sushi and rice bowls
  • Meal Simple chef-prepared meals and Cooking Connection demos
  • Produce with Texas-grown and organic selections
  • Meat market featuring Prime, natural, organic, and Wagyu options
  • Floral, beer and wine, frozen foods, beauty, pet, and household essentials departments
  • Healthy Living with bulk foods, nutrition and supplement items

The store’s design incorporates sustainable features, including CO₂ refrigeration units and LED lighting.

The new H-E-B employs 570 Partners, most of whom were hired locally. As part of its “Spirit of Giving” philosophy, H-E-B marked the grand opening with $30,000 in donations to local nonprofits: 3FTL, Tuman Breast Cancer Foundation, and Collin County Animal Services.
