CINCINNATI—The Kroger Co. has launched a dedicated e-commerce business unit to enhance its digital growth and improve the online shopping experience. Yael Cosset, who has been appointed executive vice president and chief digital officer, will lead this new initiative, effective immediately.
In this expanded role, Cosset will continue to oversee Kroger’s technology and data operations while spearheading the new e-commerce division.
"Accelerating Kroger's e-commerce growth is a top priority," said Kroger's Chairman and CEO Ron Sargent. "As the architect of Kroger's digital strategy, Yael will continue to make it easier for customers to shop for our fresh, affordable food."
Kroger reported e-commerce sales of $13 billion in 2024, underscoring the growing importance of its online operations.
Cosset has played a key role in Kroger’s digital transformation, focusing on streamlining operations and enhancing the customer experience. His leadership has helped improve technology solutions that make shopping more convenient in-store and online.

In addition to his role in digital strategy, Cosset leads Kroger’s Alternative Profit businesses, including the data and media analytics subsidiary 84.51˚, Kroger Personal Finance, and Kroger Precision Marketing.
Before serving as SVP and CIO, Cosset was Kroger’s group vice president and chief digital officer, guiding the company’s overall digital and e-commerce strategies. He also played a crucial role in the foundation of 84.51˚, serving as its chief commercial officer and CIO since 2015.
With this latest move, Kroger aims to accelerate its digital growth and reinforce its position as a leader in the evolving grocery e-commerce landscape.
