Leslie Leonard is an accomplished retail executive with extensive experience in merchandising, planning, operations, digital and product development across many categories at large-scale retailers in both the United States and Canada.
She has been with Walmart since 2000 and was appointed to her current position in 2025.
“After more than 18 years in the fashion biz — most recently with the incredible Walmart U.S. fashion team — I’m thrilled to step into a new role leading beauty and personal care at Walmart,” Leonard wrote in a LinkedIn post last summer announcing her latest assignment. “I’m beyond excited about the opportunity to help shape what’s next in this dynamic, fast-evolving space and to continue serving our customers in new, inspiring ways.”
Leonard is helping Walmart transform its beauty and personal care assortments and enhance the customer experience by adding innovative, trending and premium brands and hosting major in-store events meant to “elevate the beauty category” while also making beauty accessible and affordable to customers.
Prior to assuming her current role, Leonard spent nearly three years as Walmart’s GMM of men’s, kids, baby and footwear. Earlier, she served as GMM of apparel, footwear, jewelry, accessories and private brands at Walmart Canada.
