NEW YORK – Joel Rampoldt, CEO of Lidl US, will deliver the keynote address at PLMA’s 2025 “Store Brands Marketplace” Private Label Trade Show, taking place from November 16 to 18 in Chicago.
Rampoldt, who joined Lidl US as CEO in 2023, has an extensive track record in large-scale retail transformations. He previously served as Partner and Managing Director at AlixPartners, where he advised retailers on strategies to improve sales and profitability through pricing, promotions, and operational efficiency.
“I’m honored to get the chance to speak to our suppliers at this year’s PLMA Trade Show,” Rampoldt said. “Here at Lidl US, we value our relationships with our suppliers tremendously and we’re excited to grow with our suppliers as we expand in the U.S.”

Lidl, parent company of Lidl US, operates more than 12,000 stores in 31 countries with 350,000 employees globally. The retailer, part of the Schwarz Group, emphasizes private label, a curated product selection, and a streamlined shopping experience. Lidl US, established in 2015 and headquartered in Arlington, Va., now operates more than 190 stores along the East Coast, with about 80% of its award-winning assortment consisting of private label products.
Rampoldt will deliver his keynote at the 8 a.m. breakfast on Monday, November 17, at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare, adjacent to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, home of PLMA’s 2025 event.
The trade show will feature more than 35,000 food and nonfood products across 3,100 booths, with 2,000 exhibitors representing 65 countries.
