MURRAY, Utah – Bed Bath & Beyond and The Brand House Collective today announced that Nora Gomez has been appointed chief merchandising officer for Bed Bath & Beyond and its family of brands.
Gomez has more than 20 years of retail experience in areas including strategy, global sourcing, and multi-channel execution. She most recently served as chief merchandising officer at Nebraska Furniture Mart.
Gomez said her focus in her new role is to drive growth, improve profitability, and make every decision through the lens of the customer, ensuring they experience great design, real value, and confidence in every purchase.
"Nora has proven ability to drive margin expansion, inventory productivity, and customer transaction growth – ensuring that our e-commerce platform and our 250 stores deliver on our omnichannel vision for each brand,” said Amy Sullivan, CEO of The Brand House Collective, formerly Kirkland's Inc., which changed its name to The Brand House Collective last summer to reflect its tie-up with Beyond Inc. and brands Bed Bath & Beyond, Overstock and BuyBuy Baby.
The Brand House Collective and Bed Bath & Beyond recently announced plans so merge. Last week, the leadership brought back former Bed Bath & Beyond executive Glen Cary as chief of stores.
Brand House Collective last summer launched a process of converting more than 300 stores in 35 state from Kirklands to Bed Bath & Beyond. The inaugural Bed Bath & Beyond Home store, in Nashville, Tenn., opened in August. It was the first Bed Bath & Beyond brick-and-mortar outlet since the retailer declared bankruptcy and shut all 365 of its stores in 2023.
Shortly after the bankruptcy, Overstock.com acquired Bed Bath & Beyond’s intellectual property, changed its name to Beyond Inc. and sold BB&B merchandise online and at more than 100 of Container Store locations.
"This is a major addition as we enter 2026," said Marcus Lemonis, executive chairman and principal executive officer of Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. "Nora brings the operational precision Amy and I are looking for – delivering the right product in the right place at the right time while expanding customer reach, revenue, and margin across evåery category that supports life inside the four walls of the home and the four corners of the property."
