PURCHASE, N.Y. — PepsiCo has partnered with Infosys to launch Sales+, a unified global sales platform that replaces more than 40 standalone applications and powers more than 500,000 direct-to-store delivery visits every week across North America.

The system connects PepsiCo’s field sales team of over 25,000 employees and supports the multi-billion-dollar revenue generated through PepsiCo Foods North America. The platform is part of PepsiCo’s broader digital transformation effort to modernize operations and boost frontline productivity.

“At its core, we set out to infuse agility and adaptability into a system purpose-built and refined over decades,” said Karthik Sankaran, vice president of information technology, Global Sales Transformation at PepsiCo. “This ecosystem offers a guided experience that helps frontline leaders plan more effectively and sales professionals focus on what matters most: selling and serving our customers.”

Infosys co-developed the two-phase transformation. The first phase unified legacy systems into a cloud-based, mobile-first architecture. The second phase added smart automation and AI capabilities to deliver real-time insights, route planning, predictive recommendations, and paperless proof of delivery.

“Our greatest delivery challenge was shaping next-generation niche technologies for a program of this size and scale,” said Mayank Ranjan, senior vice president and regional head for consumer, retail and logistics at Infosys. He noted that the project included the world’s largest implementation of Xamarin mobile applications, with full offline functionality for field teams.

The platform also digitizes planograms, asset tracking, and mobile banking, reducing manual coordination and eliminating paper processes. Both companies say the collaboration offers sustainability benefits and speeds up product placement decisions and sales execution.

“The future of our collaboration is incredibly exciting, with Gen AI shaping every step,” Ranjan said.
