BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Sam’s Club is now offering its consumer Advantage Plus Members access to early shopping hours at all of its U.S. locations.
Sam’s Club is now offering its consumer Advantage Plus Members access to early shopping hours at all of its U.S. locations.
The Walmart warehouse club subsidiary said Monday that as of June 14 those members can shop early from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. weekdays and from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Saturdays. Previously, only Business Member shoppers had access to early shopping hours.
Sam’s Club said it started Gold Key hours in the late 1980s exclusively for its Business Members to shop early. The change now is part of an effort to help families juggle busy schedules and increase the benefits that Sam’s Club Plus Members receive, according to the retailer.
Plus Members pay $100 annually to shop at Sam’s Club and have access to personalized digital offers through its eValues program.
"We are excited to extend the benefit of early shopping hours to our Advantage Plus Members and believe they will find the convenience and additional access to Sam’s Club helpful," commented Mike Turner, vice president of membership for Sam’s Club. "We want to do all we can to help simplify their lives and know the demands on their time continue to grow."
Sam’s Club noted that it tested the new shopping hours for its Advantage Plus Members earlier this month and received positive feedback.
The retailer said it will maintain a flat bed lane during early hours for typically large business-type purchases and that signage will be updated at all of its 594 U.S. locations throughout the month.
