YORK, Pa. — Stauffer’s is continuing its partnership with Reading Is Fundamental for the back-to-school season, offering children free access to “Bryson’s Rocket Riddles” on RIF’s Skybrary reading app through November while promoting its Simply Animals crackers for school lunches and after-school snacks.
The company is encouraging families to use the crackers’ 13 animal shapes to add a creative element to packed lunches and snacks. Suggested ideas include themed lunches built around camel, lion and buffalo crackers, as well as after-school “snacktivities” that combine Simply Animals with fruit, pretzels and other foods.
Simply Animals is available in Original, Cocoa and Glazed Cinnamon varieties. The Original variety is offered in a 16-ounce bag and a 12-pack multipack, while Cocoa and Glazed Cinnamon are available in 16-ounce bags. The products are made without high-fructose corn syrup or artificial colors.
“Back-to-school season is all about getting back into a routine, but there are plenty of opportunities to make those everyday moments special,” said Ken Vlazny, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Stauffer’s. “Simply Animals brings imagination and fun to lunch boxes, snack time and family activities, while giving parents ingredients they feel good about.”
The partnership with Reading Is Fundamental is intended to encourage children to enjoy reading, with the free Skybrary title providing another way for families to incorporate reading into the school-year routine.
