ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J — Unilever has launched Love Beauty and Planet, a hair and skin care brand that the company said is based on a commitment to sustainability and on attention to ingredients, formulas, product packaging, value chain and social partnerships.

“We’re launching shampoos, conditioners, stylers, body washes and more in six unique collections, each infused with signature natural ingredients. From volumizing to soothing and moisturizing to refreshing, there are options for every hair and skin need and desired benefit,” the company stated.

According to the company, each fragrance is infused with an ethically sourced essential oil or absolute, like French heirloom lavender, Moroccan mimosa flower or Bulgarian rose. The ingredients are obtained by Givaudan, a fragrance partner, whose sourcing program helps support the ecosystems and livelihoods of the farmers and communities who grow them.

The bottles used in the line were manufactured with recycling in mind, the company said. “We use a special adhesive to ensure labels separate cleanly from the bottle during the recycling process to help ensure our bottles get a second life. Every one of our bottles is made from 100% recycled plastic and are 100% recyclable.”

Items sell for a suggested $8.99.
