Walmart expands Holiday Meal Basket, serving 10 for $35 through Dec. 24

This year’s Holiday Meal Basket is bigger, better, and more affordable

BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Some of Americans’ most cherished holiday memories are made around the dinner table, and Walmart is aiming to make those gatherings more affordable this season. The retailer is bringing back its popular Holiday Meal Basket with more items than ever before, available through Dec. 24, 2026, and offering fast delivery options to help families spend less time planning and more time celebrating.

According to 2026 Holiday Trend Report , 60% of shoppers say holiday expenses influence their shopping outlook, while 70% say lower prices would make holiday shopping easier. To address those concerns, Walmart’s Holiday Meal Basket is priced at $35 and contains everything needed to serve a traditional holiday meal for up to 10 people, or about $3.50 per person.

The basket includes 26 national and Walmart-brand products used to prepare holiday staples such as turkey, stuffing, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole and pumpkin pie. This year’s offering features 18% more items than last year’s basket and costs 12% less than purchasing the same items a year ago, making it the lowest-priced one-click Holiday Meal Basket Walmart has offered to date.

"The Holiday Meal Basket has become one of our favorite traditions at Walmart. It brings our purpose to life in such a meaningful way by helping families make the holidays special without stretching their budgets," said David Guggina, president and CEO, Walmart U.S. "This year, our Holiday Meal Basket brings even more food to the table for just $35, while making it easier for customers to plan, shop, and celebrate in ways that work for them.”
