Walmart expands Walmart.com access to Mexico

The company plans to expand international shipping to additional markets in the future.

BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Walmart is opening Walmart.com to customers in Mexico, allowing shoppers to purchase hundreds of thousands of items from the retailer’s online marketplace and have them shipped internationally.

The initiative gives customers in Mexico access to a broader assortment of products across categories, including apparel, home goods and electronics, extending the reach of Walmart’s U.S. marketplace beyond domestic borders.

“We’re focused on making it easy for customers to access an expanded assortment of products,” said Manish Joneja, senior vice president of Marketplace at Walmart. “This is a milestone in the evolution of how people access Walmart.com’s marketplace assortment around the world, and we’re excited to bring it to Mexico first.”

Orders will be fulfilled through the same logistics network that serves U.S. customers, with international carriers handling shipping and customs clearance. Walmart said estimated duties, taxes, and fees will be calculated and displayed at checkout, providing customers with full visibility into total order costs before purchase.

To support the launch, Walmart is offering free shipping on eligible orders of $35 or more shipped to Mexico for a limited time, although taxes and duties will still apply.

The move reflects Walmart’s broader strategy to expand marketplace assortment and e-commerce capabilities globally while providing customers with greater convenience, value and product selection. The company said it plans to extend international shipping to additional markets in the future.
