BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Self-care and wellness innovator Apothecary Products is now launching a new design of earplugs that are more comfortable to wear. Walmart has committed to selling the new product online through Walmart.com as well as in thousands of its brick-and-mortar retail stores across the country.
The HEAR Hush Hoops earplugs, which look like wireless earbuds, feature a flexible fit for better comfort. Unlike other earplugs with a fully closed ring, the HEAR Hush Hoops earplugs have an open ring, allowing them to conform and fit comfortably in a consumer’s ears.

Now it’s easy for drug, mass merchandiser, food, and club retailers to take advantage of the nearly 10 percent growth in durable earplugs on Amazon alone. The distinguishing features of the new HEAR Hush Hoop earplugs provide consumers with a comfortable alternative to foam earplugs and are more environmentally sustainable compared to disposable/single-use earplugs. Among those features:
- Unique design: The open-ring horseshoe shape is the first of its kind. Designed with comfort in mind, the open ring allows the earplugs to more easily conform to different sized ears than existing closed-ring options.
- Easy to insert: Unlike foam earplugs, there’s no need to squeeze, roll and twist them until you get the shape you need to be comfortable in your ear. Made of soft silicone that’s gentle on delicate ear skin, consumers just pop them into their ears, and adjust the hoop so it’s flush.
