BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Walmart is bringing back its Walmart Deals event this summer, offering shoppers thousands of discounts across major merchandise categories from June 22 to June 28.
The weeklong promotion will feature savings on electronics, apparel, toys, collectibles, furniture, beauty and skincare products and back-to-school essentials. Deals will be available online at Walmart.com, through the Walmart app and in stores nationwide.
A new feature for this year’s event gives eligible Walmart+ members early access to select online-only “hot Deal drops.” Members will be able to shop a curated assortment of high-demand items beginning at 12:01 a.m. ET on June 22, one day before any remaining inventory becomes available to all customers. The early access benefit excludes certain trial, student and assist membership plans.
Walmart Deals officially begins online at 12:01 a.m. ET on June 22 and in stores at 6 a.m. local time. The event concludes on June 28 at 11:59 p.m. ET, both online and at regular store closing times.
To support the promotion, Walmart’s in-house creative team developed a marketing campaign centered around “Alwayz,” a fictional boy band created to promote the event. The campaign features an original song titled “Catchin’ Feels” and includes music videos, social media content and other digital marketing elements designed to reinforce Walmart’s value message.
The retailer said the event is intended to help customers save on summer purchases while getting an early start on back-to-school shopping.
Walmart also highlighted its fulfillment options, including curbside pickup, Express Delivery in 30 minutes or less, and two-day shipping, giving shoppers multiple ways to receive their purchases during the event.
