Ahold USA this month made several executive appointments, naming new senior vice presidents for merchandising, healthy living and communications.
The changes are part of a previously announced restructuring intended to simplify operations, speed decision making and support stores more effectively.
The changes include appointing Nick Bertram, currently senior vice president of store strategy and execution, to the role of senior vice president of merchandising strategy and support. Dean Wilkinson replaces Bertram as senior vice president of store strategy and execution.
Marissa Nelson becomes senior vice president of responsible retailing and healthy living, responsible for leading an expanded focus on healthy living across Ahold USA’s companies. Steve Rowell will serve as senior vice president, deputy general counsel and communications.
The new structure is expected to go into effect on June 22.
