FRANKLIN, Wis. — Former Kellogg’s and PepsiCo executive Frank Simone has been appointed as vice president of domestic sales at Carma Laboratories Inc., the maker of Carmex lip care products.

Former Kellogg’s and PepsiCo executive Frank Simone has been appointed as vice president of domestic sales at Carma Laboratories Inc., the maker of Carmex lip care products.

The company said that Simone will be responsible for growing the domestic business for all Carmex brands and products, as well as working with brand partners to expand relationships with key retailer customers.

"I am very pleased at the opportunity to join the leadership team at Carma Labs," Simone stated. "In my new role, I will leverage my years of industry experience to build a comprehensive operating plan across multiple channels, act as a strong people leader and decision-maker, and continue to grow market share and maintain strong customer relationships."

Simone brings more than 25 years of experience in leading large organizations and helping companies grow volume, revenue and market share and manage transition during organizational change, Carma Labs noted. Most recently, he served as vice president of sales for Safeway and Alberstons at Kellogg’s. Before that. he spent most of his career at Pepsi-Cola North America, holding various sales leadership and business development/strategic roles across Pepsi-Cola and Gatorade.

In addition, Simone has served as market vice president at global packaging and labeling company Avery Dennison, where he led two business segments for the Retail Branding and Information Solutions divisions and managed private-label brands for retailer clients such as JC Penney and Macy’s, as well as global brands such as Tommy Hilfiger and Hanes.
