DiBenedetto began his career at the chain as a front-service clerk in 1975 and became a store manager in 1986.
He was promoted to district manager in 1992, and became a regional director in the Atlanta division in June 1995.
Hy-Vee is launching a series of initiatives in May to support veterans and active-duty service members, including in-store fundraising, free meals and community partnerships.
The new meals dish up kid-favorite bites, making the kids’ table the best seat in the house.

The leadership changes come days after a Delaware Court of Chancery ruling upheld the company’s decision to remove former CEO Arthur T. Demoulas.
