Rite Aid launches Resolutions Rewards

CAMP HILL, Pa. — Rite Aid Corp.’s wellness+ customer loyalty card is the centerpiece of a New Year-themed sweepstakes program that runs through late next month.

Rite Aid Corp.’s wellness+ customer loyalty card is the centerpiece of a New Year-themed sweepstakes program that runs through late next month.

The drug store chain said Tuesday that customers who use their wellness+ card from now through Jan. 22 will be automatically entered into a sweepstakes for a chance to win a "dream" vacation, fitness equipment, personal electronics and more as part of a new reward program dubbed Resolution Rewards.

Under the program, each time customers use their wellness+ card they will be entered for a chance to win one of 775 prizes designed to "help them be healthier and more active in 2011," according to Rite Aid.

Prizes include Polaris All-Terrain mountain bikes; Nintendo Wii game consoles, complete with Wii Fit and a balance board; Life Fitness ellipticals or treadmills; Apple iPod Touch and $50 iTunes gift card packages; Rite Aid gift cards; and, as the grand prize, a trip for two to the Canyon Ranch in Tucson, Ariz.

Wellness+ customers can also earn a $20 +UP Reward by purchasing $100 or more of specially marked products throughout the store, Rite Aid said. Thousands of products throughout the store count toward the $20 +UP. Once customers exceed $100 in qualifying purchases during the program period, the $20 +UP Reward will automatically print at the bottom of the receipt. The +UP Rewards can be used toward any item in a member’s next purchase.

"With our Resolution and Winter Rewards program, we’re able to deliver even more value to our 29 million wellness+ members while giving away some great prizes along the way," John Learish, senior vice president of marketing at Rite Aid, said in a statement. "The more often wellness+ members shop and use their wellness+ card, the greater their chance to win a prize that will help them enjoy winter a little more."
