MIDDLETON, Wis. — Andreas Rouvé, president and chief executive officer of Spectrum Brands Holdings Inc., has been elected to the company’s board of directors.

Spectrum Brands said that Rouvé is slated to join the board on Oct. 1. He became president and CEO on April 1.
The company also announced that David Lumley, who retired as president and CEO, has resigned from the board, as part of his plan to ensure a smooth transition to his successor. Lumley has served as a director since April 2010.
"We are pleased to welcome Andreas to our Board as he focuses on accelerating organic growth, expanding regionally, and increasing our rate of product innovation," stated David Maura, chairman of Spectrum Brands Holdings. "Andreas is off to a strong start as our new CEO.
