Walgreens’ Gates shares insights at exclusive retailmediaIQ breakfast

PALM BEACH, Fla. — For a select group of CPG executives, the National Association of Chain Drug Stores’ Annual Meeting got off to a productive start with a presentation by Rick Gates during a breakfast meeting sponsored by retailmediaIQ.

Gates, senior vice president and chief pharmacy officer at Walgreens and current NACDS chairman, offered insights about recent developments at the drug chain and his yearlong term as head of the association in dialogue with Jeffrey Woldt, retailmediaIQ’s editor-in-chief.

During the course of the Annual Meeting, which runs through Tuesday at The Breakers in Palm Beach, Gates will be succeeded as NACDS chairman by Dave Warner, president and chief executive officer of KPH Healthcare Services.
