BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Walmart has introduced two new offerings that the company said will help make it simple, easy and affordable for customers to live better.

Walmart becomes the first retailer to exclusively offer BetterUp for Caregivers and Easy Vitamin Plan subscriptions to customers across the United States, according to Julie Barber, senior vice president of health and wellness merchandising for Walmart U.S.

“After the past couple years, many of us are inspired to rethink how we care for ourselves and loved ones, and 2022 provides a fresh start for renewed health and wellness goals,” she said. “In fact, Walmart customers are feeling more ambitious than ever, with 90% planning on setting health and wellness-related goals this year.”

In a March 10 post on the company’s website, Barber explained that the new offerings are available via the company’s online wellness hub.

She described BetterUp for Caregivers as a program offering support for caregivers.

“BetterUp for Caregivers, a new and exclusive offering from Walmart and BetterUp, provides caregivers access to live group coaching circles led by a professional BetterUp coach, and includes customized tools and a community for support as they navigate daily challenges,” she wrote. “Today, over 50 million Americans are caregivers, up from 43 million in 2015.” BetterUp is a human transformation company that helps people grow personally and professionally through coaching, she said.

Barber described the Easy Vitamin Plan as a personalized vitamin subscription program. “Easy Vitamin Plan makes customized nutrition accessible and more affordable for Walmart customers by offering subscribers a 28-day supply of vitamins that meets their specific needs at an everyday-low price,” according to Barber.

Consumers access the program at the Wellness Hub on walmart.com, where they encounter a link to Easy Vitamin Plan, which offers them a brief nutritional assessment that identifies a blend of vitamins, minerals and nutrients tailored to individual needs.

The vitamins are then packaged in daily packs, making them easier to remember and easier to take, Barber asserted.

“We are pleased to work with Walmart to provide our personalized services at affordable prices to their millions of loyal customers,” Phil Vigeant, founder of Easy Vitamin Plan, said in a press release announcing the program. “These custom formulas are often too expensive for most individuals. Now, with the help of Walmart, anyone can upgrade from a basic multivitamin to a custom vitamin plan at an everyday-low price.”

Partnering with Easy Vitamin Plan allows Walmart to focus on expanding its assortment of wellness and personal care products from trusted brands at affordable prices, Barber said.

“Individualized wellness plans may feel unattainable at times, which is why we’re delighted to offer Easy Vitamin Plan services on Walmart.com, helping make personalized vitamin programs more accessible for all.”

In addition, customers have access to over 50 laboratory quality tests, including tests for COVID-19, digestive health, allergies and heart health, Barber said. Additionally, the Wellness Hub offers customers access to options for professional support and guidance.

“Working with leading providers to bring our customers services focused on personal coaching, personalized nutrition and at-home testing is one more way Walmart is making wellness more accessible and affordable, in turn helping empower customers to achieve their goals this year and beyond,” Barber said. “With the launch of these services, we are building on the commitments and investments we’ve made over the past several years, and we will continue expanding our offerings to best serve our customers’ health and wellness needs.”
