ARLINGTON, Va. — FMI – The Food Industry Association has promoted two senior executives into expanded leadership roles as the organization looks to strengthen its advocacy efforts, strategic planning and member engagement.
Jennifer Hatcher has been named chief innovation, strategy and membership officer, while Stephanie Harris has been appointed chief public policy officer and general counsel, FMI announced Tuesday.
Hatcher, a more than 25-year veteran of the association, most recently served as a senior government relations executive before taking on broader responsibilities in member relations. In her new role, she will oversee FMI's long-term strategic planning and innovation initiatives, with a focus on enhancing member value, deepening engagement and supporting the organization's continued growth.
Harris will expand her existing responsibilities by leading FMI's public policy agenda and government affairs operation in addition to overseeing legal strategy and regulatory advocacy. She will also continue serving as the association's chief legal adviser while working to advance policies that support the food industry.

"Together, Jennifer and Stephanie bring the leadership, expertise and vision needed to navigate an evolving policy landscape while driving strategic growth and delivering greater value to our membership," Sarasin added.
FMI said the appointments are intended to reinforce its focus on advocacy, innovation and member engagement as the food industry navigates an increasingly complex regulatory and competitive environment.
